DAY 1 / CUSCO CITY TOUR
Upon arrival reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Visitors
should take a short rest in order to adjust to altitude. Afternoon tour
of the city visiting the Koricancha Temple and the Cathedral. Continue
to the surrounding ruins: the fortress and temple of Sacsayhuaman
overlooking the city, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay archeological
sites.
DAY 2/ SACRED VALLEY
This tour is available on Tuesdays , Thursdays or Sundays.
You will be picked up at 8:45 am. Full day excursion to the Urubamba
Valley visiting: the village of Pisac, a picturesque village of colonial
aspect and its andean market,colorful folklore and eye-catching
craftwork. Lunch provided. In the afternoon you'll visit the fortress of
Ollantaytambo, an architectural group which in the Inca times was a
gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military
complex, then yuo will vist Chinchero´s market. At the end, back to
Cusco at 6:30pm . Overnight (B,L)
DAY 3 / CUSCO – KILOMETRO 104 – WIÑAY WAYNA –
MACHUPICCHU
We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:30 am. Transfer to the train
station, then we will take the train to go to km.104 of the rail road to
Machu Picchu. Arriving to the km.104 we will get off of the train and
begin the hiking. We will cross the hanging bridge over the Urubamba
river and passed the archaeological complex of Chachabamba, then we will
ascend to another magnificence archaeological complex called Wiñay Wayna
(2.700 m.a.s.l.) which is located between the impressive mountains which
dominates the valley where the Urubamba river flows. In the passage we
will enjoy the characteristic vegetation of the rainforest, arriving at
Wiñay Wayna we will have lunch there, after the lunch the tour guide
will explain you about the archeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, after
explanation we will continue our hiking toward “The sun gate” or “Inti
Punku”. Where you will be stunned by the impressive panoramic view over
Machu Picchu village (2.475 m.a.s.l.) this and the view over the
surrounding mountains will be our best compensation. Then we are going
to descend to Machu Picchu archeological Complex, and take the bus to
descend to Aguas Calientes town. there we will have dinner and hotel.
Meals : Snack, lunch, and dinner.
DAY 4 / AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU- CUSCO
We will take the first bus (5:30 am) to go toward the archeological
complex of Machu Picchu, where the guide will explain you about the
archeological complex of Machu Picchu , after the guided tour, your tour
guide will give you a free time in order to explore all the citadel by
yourself. After that we will again take the bus to descend to Aguas
Calientes town. And we will take a tourist train to back to Cusco (5:00
pm) The train takes 4 hours and half until Cusco city. And someone will
wait for you, transfer to your hotel.
DAY 5 / RAFTING
Early in the morning we pick you up from your hotel and drive through
the Andes to South part of Cusco to Chuquicahuana (1 hour half), here
you will receive your safety talk and equipment and you have a fantastic
opportunity to raft in some Class III and IV rapids. Here the rapids
move and lot faster and they are constant Class III and IV for around 11
kms.
In the take out we dry off and change cloths, we will have a picnic tent
lunch at the side of the river. (Toilet facilities). Return to Cusco and
end of our services.

Transfer to the airport for departure flight. (B) |
