 Urubamba,
capital of the Sacred Valley of the Inca is the entrance
door to travel a picturesque circuit that go through the
mountains of the Mountain range of Urubamba where we can
appreciate its main snowy, beautiful lagoons, litters of
llamas and alpacas, as well as typical Andean towns. Equally
we will be able to observe and to share with the residents
of this area their customs and ways of life.
The pools thermal waters of Lares located amid the charming
landscape will be our recompense.
FIRST DAY: CUSCO - URUBAMBA - GULCH
DE PUMAHUANCA
I pick up of the hotel to move to capital Urubamba of the
Sacred Valley of the Inca.
During the itinerary we will go by the towns of Chincheros
and Maras, we will have the first views of the imposing
mountains of the mountain range of the Urubamba with their
snowy Chicón, Pumahuanca and Verónica. In the gulch
Pumahuanca (3210 m.s.n.m.) we will give beginning to this
beautiful circuit. We will ascend slowly for the gulch where
we will appreciate the characteristic flora of this region
and their beautiful landscapes, and until arriving to the
foot of Pampas Cunyoq (4240 m.s.n.m.) where we will locate
our camp.
Feeding: snack, lunch, coffee time and it has dinner.
SECOND DAY: STEP PUMAHUANCAJASA -
CUNCANI
We will ascend heading for the step of Pumahuancajasa (4780
m.s.n.m.) we will cross a beautiful Andean pampas, Cunyoq,
full of llamas and alpacas, a small forest of trees of Queña
and colorful lagoons. Once overcome the step will have
spectacular views of the snowy Chicón (5650 m.s.n.m.),
Verónica (5720 m.s.n.m.), Pitusiray (5600 m.s.n.m.) and
Sahuasiray (5720 m.s.n.m.), as well as of numerous lagoons.
We will descend in address to the lagoon of Yanacocha (4500
m.s.n.m) and the Valley of Cuncani. We will
camp in the surroundings of the picturesque Andean town of
Cuncani (3970 m.s.n.m.) with an attractive view of the snowy
Chicón.
Feeding: breakfast, snack, lunch, coffe time and it has
dinner.
THIRD DAY: CUNCANI - THERMAL POOLS
OF LARES - CUSCO
After alternating with the residents, we will continue our
journey through the areas of cultivation of the
Valley of Cuncani in address to the refreshing pools of
thermal waters of Lares (3370 m.s.n.m.), located
amid the beautiful Andean landscape. Very near the pools it
is the town of Lares from which we will transport ourselves
to the city of the Cusco.
Feeding: breakfast, snack and lunch.
