The most important city of the Inca Empire, Cusco, is located at 3350 masl, where we will go by bus to the Sacred Valley passing through the villages of Maras, Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, towns with living identity that have been maintained through years. Our starting point starts at KM 82 at 2800 masl
Day 1: Cusco - Chincheros - Huchuy qosqo
This adventure begins very early, we will meet at your hotel to drive us to the town of Chinchero. We will embark on our journey to Tauqaq, a village located on the edge of the Piuray lagoon.
On the way we will visit the church, a typical market and an archaeological site. We will walk for 3 hours until the passage of Tauqaq to 4,000 masl, to observe the snowy peaks of Ausangate, Veronica, Pitusiray and Sahuasiray.
It is now time to rest for another day of travel, we headed down to our camp that is located before Huchuy Qosqo to enjoy tea time and dinner.
Day 2: Huchuy Qosqo - Lamay- Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu
Today we will meet Huchuy Qosqo, an imposing architectural complex that includes a large open ceremonial center. We will enjoy a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the Vilcanota River and the snowy peaks of Sierra. We will not lose any details with the guide’s explanation.
We will start the march towards Lamay to 3000 masl to take the private bus with direction to Ollantaytambo. We will go to the station to take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes to take a well deserved rest in the hotel.
Day 3: Machu Picchu - Cusco
The day to know Machu Picchu has arrived! Very early in the morning, the Bus awaits us very early to ascend to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, considered by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will enjoy a guided tour of the different sectors of this magnificent Inca legacy, having enough time to visit other places inside Machu Picchu and take pictures for the memory. You can even climb the Huayna Picchu mountain (not included in the package).
Our return will be in the afternoon, by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to give way to lunch. Here we will take the train that will take us back to Cusco and enjoy our last trip. Once in Cusco, comfortable buses await us to transfer you to your hotel.
It is important to take into account that passengers arrive in Cusco at least two days before to acclimatize and make the trek. You can do practice tours like visiting the city and the Sacred Valley, these are gentle walks at considerable heights.
